Artist Statement
My work is an exploration of the human condition—the tension between revealing and concealing, movement and stillness, vulnerability and strength. While I start from my own experiences, I strive to depict a universal human image.
In my drawings, I deconstruct the human form, both literally and figuratively, through layering, fragmentation, and overlap. My photographic self-portraits balance between visibility and concealment—a continuous dialogue between revealing and hiding.
As someone with autism, I experience the world intensely, in fragments and patterns. This layered perception translates into my work, where realism is secondary to inner experience. During life drawing sessions, I am not guided by anatomical accuracy but by the model's movement, the impressions of the day, and my own thoughts. This results in an interplay of lines and overlaps, where human figures remain fluid and fragmented—just like identity and emotion.
Eroticism subtly permeates my work, not as provocation but as a fundamental human energy: the need for connection, touch, and presence. Through the interaction of lines, bodies, and empty spaces, I explore how we perceive ourselves and one another.
My work emerges in series, each rooted in a theme that touches on the complexity of the human condition.
